UC Berkeley’s National Flash Trial Competition (September 7-10) (8 Teams) South Carolina wins over Baylor. Maryland and UCLA were semi-finalists. Participating Schools: Baylor, Denver, Drexel, UCLA, Loyola LA, Campbell, Maryland, and South Carolina.

Texas’ ABOTA Best in Texas Voir Dire Competition (September 21-23) (10 Teams) Houston wins over South Texas. Texas Southern and Texas Tech were semi-finalists. Participating Schools: Baylor, St. Mary’s, South Texas, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Southern, Texas Tech, Houston, and North Texas.

Drexel’s Battle of the Experts (September 22-24) (10 Teams) UCLA wins over Loyola LA. St. Mary’s and Hofstra were semi-finalists. Participating Schools: Cumberland, Loyola LA, UCLA, Stetson, Hofstra, Baylor, St. Mary’s, Fordham, Temple, and South Carolina.

Denver’s Summit Cup (September 28-30) (12 Teams) Stetson wins over UCLA. Mercer, Illinois, and Emory were semi-finalists. Participating Schools: UCLA, St. Mary’s, Baylor, Stetson, Texas, Mercer, Nova Southeastern, Illinois, Northwestern, Maryland, San Diego, and Emory.

Hofstra’s Medical / Legal Trial Competition (October 6-8) (20 Teams) Illinois wins over Chicago Kent. Drexel and Pace were semifinalists. South Carolina, Mercer, Pacific McGeorge, and American were Quarter-finalists. Participating Schools: American, Brooklyn, Campbell, Chicago-Kent, Drexel, Emory, Fordham, Georgia State, Pacific McGeorge, Mercer, Pace, Quinnipiac, St. John’s, St. Mary’s, Buffalo, Houston, Illinois, Maryland, South Carolina, and UNLV.

Stetson’s National Pretrial Competition (October 12-15) (16 Teams) Texas Tech wins over Baylor. Regent and Miami were semi-finalists. Chapman, Buffalo, Ole Miss, and Tulane were quarter-finalists. Buffalo’s National Trial Competition (October 13-15) (30 Teams) St. John’s wins over UMKC. Akron and Stetson were semi-finalists. Michigan Bar Association’s National Trial Competition (October 20-22) (16 Teams) Harvard wins over Wash U. Alabama and Barry were semi-finalists. Participating Schools: Barry, Brooklyn, Drexel, Arizona State, Harvard, Lincoln Memorial, Mercer, SMU, Southern, Alabama, Illinois, Kansas, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Duquesne, and Wash U.

Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Advocacy Competition (November 3-5) (5 Schools, 10 Teams) Stetson wins over St. Thomas. Participating Schools: Stetson, St. Thomas, Miami, Florida State, and Barry.

Georgetown’s White Collar Crime Trial Competition (November 3-5) Texas wins over Villanova. Case Western and NYU were semi-finalists. (16 Teams) Participating Schools: Texas, St. Thomas, George Washington, St, John’s, NYU, Brooklyn, Houston, Harvard, Florida State, William & Mary, Quinnipiac, UC Law SF, Fordham, Maryland, Case Western, and Villanova.
